These are not only reviews or personal opinions about releases but also just descriptions. We randomly comment here some of the stuff we have and/ or receive, it doesn't matter if it's done in 2007 or 1992, and it doesn't care the format, so you could also find in the future just some gig review or mp3 release/ promotional stuff review.

Really noisecore... as i read the credits i found this is dedicated to "Juntaro". Well, i realize this is Juntaro from The Gerogerigegege as this recording is very very influenced by this style of japanoisecore done by The Gerogeri... really killer sound... where drums and a coupling guitar get confused eachother while really crazy vocals are screaming and yelling the hell out! About 40 minutes of chaos...

A nice Tribute! Another great Defenestrated Recs release!!! Don't miss it!

Wheelchair Full Of Old Men

Reviewed by Manuel (2007/04/07)

This CD is credited of being released on 2004 on W.F.O.O.M. but bands have their copyrights dated on 1993 and 1991 so i guess it is when these recordings were done.

WÜNDERBARF is reminding me some industrial acts from the 80's or 90's. This noise has a lot of air recorded elements and some abstract and aggressive sounds with a lot of reverb on a 23 minutes long track with a chaotic and wasted feeling to it which keeps monotously going and sounding like 1 Ton of metal is falling against the floor.

The rest of the CD is led by ASTHENIA, more chilling sounds not so aggressive but really annoying at some points. Really abstract and experimental which will satisfy every freak lover of these styles.

Summarizing, like your brains way of working been reversed and now you have a different perception on reality.

In the harsh state with static and monotonous elements Werewolf Jerusalem is a purifying experience of totally dirty and industrial noise experiments. Consisting of 5 tracks quite different and a great layout.

As you know Werewolf Jerusalem is one of the side projects of Richard Ramirez who's been around since the early 90's in the noise scene and has a huge list of releases.

"4 Way Split"
(CDR | 2003)

Carpediem Records

Reviewed by Manuel (2007/03/09)

4 Way Split CDR on this croatian DIY label released back in 2003 but an essential release. All 4 acts going thru an electronic direction with total noise experimentals.

Karkakumulator sounds like sort of futurist noise industrial which would be a perfect soundtrack for any surrealistic sci-fi movie. The Gruuthagy track is more musical and experimental ambient with a really wicked and deppressive feeling. Guignol Dangereux sounds like anomalist breakcore techno out of tune and beat, annoying sounds using this rave hardcore techno language. The Lasse Marhaug bubble gum track drives you thru a slowly variating trip of mind.

Rubbish, offering 4 long tracks, about 15 minutes each, over 1 hour kind of drony, harsh stuff, hard to define, but total experimental. A nice scape from predictable shit into stimulating noises. I like how Rubbish sometimes sounded like machinery making your mind going down the drain.

100%experimental noise stuff like this can be found at www.roilnoise.com.

Work In Progress

Really this an old compilation featuring great noise, industrial acts. I guess this could be a hard one to find because of being a 1992 release, but it was also reissued as Various - "Dissolve" on the label Fused Coil.

Some of the artists featured are into an ambient/industrial direction such as Beequeen, Antonym, Another Headache, Lee Ranaldo, Master/Slave Relationship, Zoviet France or The Drome. Representing the rock industrial side of things are Whiteslug, Husk and Earth Mother Fucker. Some noiserock stuff as Fat Hacker and finally the most brutal of all them pure noise are Hanatarash, Hydra, The Gerogerigegege and Merzbow.

Another one for your Wantlists.
